Delay.
On Constant Delay is a narrative-driven 3D point-and-click game that explores the daily struggles of living with obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD).
In the game, you step into the shoes of Leonard, a man whose life is deeply impacted by obsessive thoughts and compulsive behaviors that disrupt his ability to perform simple, everyday tasks. As you navigate through Leonard’s world, you’ll encounter various scenarios that trigger his OCD, illustrating how overwhelming these stimuli can be.

On Constant Delay is not about providing solutions or treatments. Instead, it aims to raise awareness, reduce the stigma around OCD, and foster empathy for those who live with this condition. We hope this game helps people recognize the challenges of OCD and feel less isolated in their experiences.
To comply with the regulations of the Jam, we hereby state that "On Constant Delay" is the debut project of the group of developers "Narrativi Digitali".

Congratulation for this game, you managed to make it an intense experience without making it too serious!
As someone with an anxiety disorder, I find Leonard very relatable, but at the same time I can see the differences in our struggles.
I appreciate you giving the character a good relationship with his neighbours, because people with mental health issues are too often represented as isolated. Which they can be, obviously, but not all of us are.
Hi LaChapeliere,
we're glad you tried our game. We really wanted to create an experience that was light but at the same time representative of the protagonist's difficulties. Regarding the relationship with the neighbors, I've got to be sincere: we had not thought about that aspect, but it's true! It's really wonderful to see how everyone can notice different things in the same game :)
That sounds like a powerful project! Raising awareness about OCD is crucial for reducing stigma and helping those affected feel understood. The game offers such a vivid and impactful experience. Projects like this can really foster empathy and connection. A big round of applause for the authors!
Hi Insidethebo.x :)
thank you for the kind words, we really appreciate your support. We hope this project can help raise more awareness :)
I saw your post on the Godot LinkedIn and added it to my queue! I’m looking forward to playing it!
Hi Edmundito,
let us know when you play it. We look forward to hear what you think :)
I feel like I broke the ending btw. I made the choice at the end, clicked through the conversation and I think one mouse click too many made the screen freeze with the OCD logo really dark in the background. I feel I accidentally clicked through some ending screen as well.
Thank you for bringing this to our attention :)
Really nice! It looks really good and polished. And, you really convey that feeling of anxiety very well. I feel like I understand people that suffer from these kind of compulsions a bit better. Well done!
Hello Swoopie,
We're glad the game has helped you better understand this condition. Thank you for playing it :)
That's a very short, yet very charming game :)
Great job.
Hi Cevantime,
we're so glad you liked the game :) thanks for playing it.
